[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How Do You Attach A Sling???

I just got an East German surplus sling for my newly acquired WASR and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get the sling attached to the rear sling swivel.

I know the hook goes on the front, but I have no clue how to get the opposite end attached to the swivel. I even removed the entire swivel assembly to see if maybe the actual swivel was not a solid piece but it is solid. Feel free to call me a dumb ass if there is some easy trick to attaching the rear.

Feed the clip through the tri glide buckle, bit fiddly but it goes.
