Anyone ever ordered from Centerfire Systems?
I bought 3 hungarian 20rd mags from them ($30 + S/H) Friday night, but I my CC hasn’t been billed and I haven’t received an email confirmation or anything. I know they’re a site partner, so I’m not doubting their integrity, but that just seems really odd to me. Anyone else have a similar experience? Also, I noticed I’m going to be charged a “processing fee” whenever my order is processed. How much is that going to be? |

You ordered on a Friday night and you do realize that it's only Sunday, right? I would assume that they don't have a 24 hour crew working orders on a weekend. Plus, their processing fee is 3%. I didn’t mean that I was expecting the order to be processed. I just thought it was odd that my CC didn’t get charged (which is automated on most sites) and I didn’t receive email confirmation (like an automated “thank you for ordering” or copy of my receipt) to show that the system accepted my order. Basically I’m wondering if my order went through. |

They only bill once the item is shipped I think is what I found out when I ordered from them they are good company you will be fine! Yep. I've even gotten the order before it was ever billed. My only complaint is they will let you order a out of stock item without telling you. That happened to me twice. So I just place my order over the phone. |

Good people. Magnus et al. I always try to support AIM and Centerfire Systems because I am supporting local people (relatively). I did get a lady on the line at Centerfire earlier today when I wanted to check on availability of 5.45 ammo that didn't seem to know much about their products but she was able to answer my question well enough by just looking on her computer so that's good enough for me. I don't expect the sales reps to be ballistics experts. More important that they are polite and even cheerful most of the time. |

I have ordered a good number of firearms from Centerfire; also parts & accessories & never had any issues with them...Although I really do wish they would stop charging 3% for using a credit card...I mean really; who the hell is going to send them a money order for a rifle or a parts kit that might be out of stock by the time your money order arrives? Snail mail is so low tech I'm surprised anyone actually accepts orders by snail mail any more...

I used to work for a credit card company. A merchant cannot charge a surcharge on Visa or Master Card based upon their agreements with Visa and Master Card. They can actually lose the right to use those cards. And, American Express has an agreement that says you cannot discriminate against their customers if you accept Amex so you cannot charge Amex customers a surcharge either, if you cannot charge one to Visa or MC. For anyone who has been charged a surcharge, please call your credit card company and let them know. They'll usually credit that amount and they will also work with the retailer to help them understand their agreement. Looking on Centerfire's Site I see that they do it the right way, they are allowed to offer a "savings" for cash customers. So, they are good to go under the letter of the law. Discount for cash = ok. Surcharge for use = not ok. Difference = 0. |
