I got an internet ad from J&G yesterday advertising Mini-Dracos. 17" overall length, 7.5" barrel, different handguard. Thats about all I can see thats different between the mini and...well.....maxi Draco. I've been contemplating getting one of these for an SBR project and I understand that the Maxi's have a underfolder rear trunion that makes adding a stock easier. Is that correct? Does anyone know if the Mini's share the same rear trunion? Were these ever issued to the military, Police or some type of anti-terrorist group? Really a neat little AK, it'll look sweet as an SBR.

Only "DRACO-C" models have the rear trunion cut/drilled for a UF stock. "Non-C" models including the mini (from what I have read) are not easily adapted to a UF stock. However, thre are other options for a folding stock on the Non-C models. The are several threads on DRACO SBRs and the mini-DRACO in the "AK Pistols" forum.

There is some good info and pics in the AK Pistol area of this forum. I contacted Century and this is the info I have. They are in fact 100% manufactured in Romania and imported and are not a Century hack job after importation. As far as your question about the rear trunnion, only the Draco C is ex military parts and will have the underfolder rear trunnion. Regular Dracos will not. From what I understand, the rear trunnion of the Mini's also ex under folder. But info on these new mini's is still hard to get as they are so new.

Gunbroker pictures showed a UF stock block that did not have the holes for the stock mechanism.

I talked to classic today (classicarms.us) and they said they haven't had much demand for the mini.  In other words you guys need to also call them and beg them to stock the damn things!  She said if she gets more requests for it they will order them!  What are you waiting for? Why aren't you calling them yet? get on it!

I bought a mini and the rear trunnion is not for an under folder.

I have 3 Draco variations minus the Champion and the "C" is the only one w/ an under folder trunnion.

Will 74U/'Krink' handguards fit on the Mini-Draco?

The mini has an uncut under folder trunnion. It can be done, just takes more then the cut trunnion.

Sure it can be cut, but otherwise the mini rear trunnion is the same as the regular Draco.
