I just picked up a Robinson Armament Vepr in 7.62x39.  While inspecting it I noticed where the bullet guide is attached it has a hex key head, making me think it is bolted on. Is this normal? I thought the bullet guide would be riveted on.

Any help is appreciated, also if you have a pic of the inside of a vepr showing the bullet guide that would be great, I searched but couldn't find one.

not an issue. Military rifles have them riveted in. The krebs kits use a hex screw also.

And almost all Saiga conversions use a bolted on bullet guide. All of my conversions have held up with a bolted on guide.
