I posted this in the Chinese forum, but the traffic is a little slow there.

I ran into 2 GSAD spikers at a local shop.  Both are in "fair" condition.  They show a lot of use.  Wood dinged and and a few scratches, FSB has some dings, etc..  Plus they could really use a clean.  One has a sling and cleaning kit, and the other is gun only.

They wanted $900 for them.  Both marked with the standard GSAD stamp.  No other markings.  Serials 2xxx and 4xxx.

What do you think?

Thanks.

GSAD. If its $900 for the pair then its a steal but you prolly already know that, if its $900 each then its about $100-400 less than they have gone for on GB.

Kinda hard to give a good opinion without pictures.  $900 could be a decent deal, or not, depending upon what it really looks like.

Sorry, couldn't get a picture in the store...They kinda frown on that..

They looked like shooter's.  Lots of use, but didn't look like abuse.  Just lots of handling marks, dings, nicks, etc...  Barrel nut was hard to get off, but the threads on the barrel looked ok.  Nut was probably cross threaded at one point.  Just stuff like that.  I didn't check all the numbers, but for now I'll assume they all matched.  I would have broken it down if I was going to buy it.

Hence the "fair" assessment.  So that's why I ask, is $900 a good price for "fair" or should I just pass and wait for a "good" example?

Thanks.

The thing is, two people can look at the same gun, and come to vastly different conclusions about what type of shape it's in.  I've seen it happen on this forum more than once.

I'd want to see the bolt face, carrier, gas tube, chamber, barrel, exterior, etc., before saying "It's probably worth about $XXX". So...

Kinda hard to give a good opinion without pictures.  $900 could be a decent deal, or not, depending upon what it really looks like.  Aside from giving you a price range these tend to sell for, no one is going to be able to give you a more specific figure without seeing it.
