Seriously thinking about getting into a vz58. Called WaffenWerks and they still have some in stock but they are black not the gray.  Anyone here care to comment on their WW Vz58.

I have one on order from WW as well.  I already have a czechpoint version.  For all intents and purposes, they are the same rifle with exception to the muzzle device/bayo lug.  Otherwise they are still the same czech-made rifles.  I believe WW does the importing for czechpoint now.

I am very impressed with the VZ58 design.  I had thought about getting an AK-style rifle to compliment my vz58, but then I determined there are no real advantages of the AK over the VZ.  Of course there are limited parts and mags, but they can all be had for a very reasonable price through WW or czechpoint.

Very accurate rifle, very nice fit and finish.

So the WW version has the muzzle brake pinned on correct. Also what is the black finish, paint or a dark park?

Took this info from another site.

D-Technik drills two holes through the muzzle attachment and tig welds
into the threads of the barrel and fills the holes in the muzzle
attachment with weld. The welded spots are hidden by turning the
barrels on a lathe and the welds are not visible. Finish Gunkote

Finish is Gunkote.
