How is Century on their returns?  I might return a 74 to Century for keyholing.  The young lady I spoke with said the process usually takes around 2 weeks.  Do they usually get things right the second time around and do they live up to their 2 week turn around time?

Out of curiousity, how long ago did you buy this rifle?

Well there in Florida so the shipping part should be fast. How many rounds did you fire? Did you try copper solvent?

My turnaround time from my shipping until my receiving the rifle back was about 1-1/2 weeks (I'm in Colorado).  The original rifle had some feeding issues.  The replacement (a new rifle) has been absolutely perfect.  No problems what-so-ever.  I've put several thousand rounds through the replacement.  No hassle at all from Century.  They gladly said "send it back and we'll take care of you". They did.

It's been a very long time since I had to deal with a Century return, but it went smoothly.

Back around 1994/5 or so, I bought a Century L1A1 Sporter (thumbhole stock, bare muzzle) that was having issues.  I called them, sent it back, and had a new replacement within 2 weeks.

I had a PSL with a canted sight and a canted scope. I purchased it new from AIM and never shot it. I called and they said they would fix it if I shipped it, but it is not cheap to ship a massive gun like a PSL. So, after a little complaining I got them to pay for return shipping and after about three weeks it showed up all fixed. They did pretty well.

Thanks for the replies so far.  This is very reassuring.

Make sure you call and get a "Return Authorization Number". Also make sure you print this number in big letters on the outside of the box. Write a concise description of what is wrong with the gun and what will make you happy and attach it to the gun (tape, zip-tie, whatever). I have returned three rifles like this to them and have always received a quick and satisfactory resolution.
