Can A Yugo Underfolder be converted back to buttstock configuration? Cost? Thanks Sure. But a lot of work and expensive, too. Even when you get the rear trunnion and struts off the receiver, you're going to have some work ahead to get another rear trunnion in it and cover up the two gaping holes on the sides. While not exactly the same, you could probably pay close to the cost of another full buttstock Yugoslavian rifle for as much as everything would cost to get it re-done |

If you are determined to have a fixed stock, you would be much better off selling that rifle and buying one that has a fixed stock already on it. Converting an underfolder to a fixed stock is not easy, and it's expensive. +1 excellent advice I agree. There are enough people who want underfolders, and you could probably even sell the underfolder for more than what you may pay for a fixed stock rifle... |

Can A Yugo Underfolder be converted back to buttstock configuration? Cost? Thanks Before you spend any more time considering this, search for a stock block ("rear trunnion") for a fixed stock Yugoslavian rifle. The block is different than a standard AKM block, and when a friend of mine looked, the Yugo block wasn't readily available. |
| I cant remeber the site- but a company sells an adapter that bolts right into an underfolder and covers holes while allowing you to install a stock on the rifle- the only catch is it has a buffer tube so you would have to use the proper stock to fit it- ar styles. |
