Instead of buying a speed loader (of which many are not that "speedy" and can be a pain in the butt to operate), why don't you just buy extra mags and load them in advance?  Buy an extra dozen mags and a Mag-Lula loader and you're all set.  A Mag-Lula is $25 to $30 and spare milsurp metal mags are below $10 each.  Is a stripper clip/speed loader for each mag much cheaper than the mag itself?  If not, just buy the mags.

If you're looking at those 7.62 strippers and the stamped "loader" that are all over the place, be advised they are designed for an SKS and they do not work for shit on AK magazines without either a lot of work getting it bent just right and even then you'll still usually need a 2 ton press to actually use them...

If you're looking at the 5.45 strippers and spoons, good choice, they are amazing.

When you use the Chinese made guide, either attach a shim to the inside of the front of the guide so the back of the guide is held tight to the back of the magazine, or use your thumb to do the same thing.
The guide won't work if you don't.
I used a hardwood shim on mine and the guide works without any problems.
