I purchased a Vector V47 this past month and took it to the range for the first time yesterday. The gun is stovepiping/failing to eject about every 5 rounds in multiple 30rd magazines. The new round is trying to chamber, but gets suck on the empty casing and thus cannot fully enter the barrel. Gun is cleaned and clear of debris.
I searched around and found this popular thread posted by Vector Arms describing problems/solutions with their Uzi model, but have not heard anything regarding their AK-47 model. http://www.uzitalk.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11279 Ammo used: 7.62x39 Ulyanovsk FMJ 122 Grain 20 Round Box Made in Russia 2396 fps Steel Cased Polymer Coated
Magazines used: 30rd steel mag that came with the gun, 30rd steel surplus mag I just ordered a polymer mag and am going to buy a few boxes of different 7.62x39 ammo to see if they are the culprit, but my gut is telling me its internal. Never had an issue like this on an AK before. Has anyone else had a similar problem with a Vector? |
