If the barrel length is 12.6" technically wouldn't this work based on the measurements if permanently attached?

| Ahh, good points. This is why I asked, as in this case I obviously didn't think about screwing it in. I was just trying to avoid buying a barrel extension, but it looks like it's going to be a must if I want to deviate from the standard AMD muzzle break. (I'm more interested in a flash hider) |
Assuming the original AMD-65 barrel, the extension has to be 4.25" long. You can either use the original brake plus an extension pipe or the Tapco one-piece extension brake (shown) that looks just like the original up front. Any barrel extension has to be blind-pinned and welded-over.

I have an AMD 65 barrel and I thought the NDS-28 by itself, would be long enough to bring the barrel to 16in. |
