That's a scary assumption. A longer firing pin might allow your weapon to slamfire and go full auto.
What kind of ammunition are you using? I buy a lot of military surplus, and those are hard primers. Every now and again one doesn't fire on the first try, but generally does on the second. Using Wolf I've never had a failure to fire. |

I would bet it's the ammo. If it was the firing pin, it would happen more often. Also, if it's happening towards the end of your session, maybe the gun itself needs a cleaning. I forgot to mention that I have switch ammo brands and it does the same thing, and it is doing it about 3-4 times in a magazince loaded with 20 rounds. It was doing it quite a bit. |

And edogg, weren't you having FTF problems with this same rifle a while back? I can't remember the outcome of that problem but I think I remember you having a thread about it and getting a lot of suggestions of things to check. What did that end up being? |
