Good looking rifle!  Just need to get some wear on that new looking furniture and pistol grip to blend it in.  Good stuff!

I think there's been several BFPU threads and recently a decent one with photos.  But no sticky for them.  It's definately a good idea to have a reference sticky for folks to look at.

thanks RAY. i know the wood is too nice but it is 100% original "G" furniture (not re-finished)  and i hate to mess it up. i fugure if i just use it and abuse it the look will come naturally.  by the way, let's see some of these other rifles that were on the previous threads. maybe VA-GUNNUT will make us a sticky this time. lets see em guys ! *EDIT* you talked me into it. i roughed up the stockset a bit.

No-no, 2000 SAR-1. Had it since new!  Everything was straight and has been a very great rifle!
The upper hand guard is original, I refinished the lower and butt stock with garnet shellac. P-grip is Russian along with the sling of course.

APEX has some good condition and used Romanian furniture.  There's also some really worn Romanian furniture on Gunbroker that would hit the spot, as well.

oh. i stand corrected. very nice job matching those HG's. mine is an 03 sar-1 but i also have a 00 sar-1, or at least untill it sells on the EE. both are super tight rifles and are a blast to shoot.
