I am seriously considering selling my Norinco 84s.  I've looked around at what they are going for, however, mine has pitting in the muzzle.  Doesn't seem to affect the accuracy much as it is still more accurate than my Norinco SKS.  The wood furniture has a few dents in it.  The rifle was given to me as a gift along with 12  30 round mags and 1 5 round mag.  I intend to sell most of the mags off separate from the gun.  I love the gun and am torn about selling it, but the hunting club dues must be paid soon.

It does not have the underfolder, just a straight stock and a screw on "cage" type flash hider....also has cleaning kit.

I am thinking probably in the $800 range, but the muzzle pitting has me wondering if it will bring that.  I took pictures of it today, but I'm on dial up and can't upload them today.

Selling a Norinco AK for...hunting club dues? Are you fucking serious?

$800.00 for the rifle and 1 30 round mag and the 5 round mag.

Sell the remaining 11 30 round mags on the Equipment Exchange for $35.00 each.  The mags are rare and always in demand.

You can thank me after you make all that money

Slight pitting at the muzzle usually doesn't affect accuracy in my experience.

Send me the pictures and I will host and post them for you

I'm not sure I can follow through on it.  I was nearly in tears taking pictures.  My wife is giving me shit.

Even with the pitting?  Not sure how a chrome lined barrel got pitting.  I was hoping you would chime in, started to send you an IM.

Plenty of severely pitted AKs I have shot were fine.  I had some Hungarian milled AKs that had sewer pipe bores that were accurate as any AK I owned at the time.  If yours is just at the muzzle it shouldn't be bad.  Just make sure you put the fact in the for sale ad.  Clean the bore really well and inspect the bore with a light.

If it is just a pitted muzzle edge at the end of the barrel there is a way you can polish it out.

When you put the mags up for sale I would start them out at $40-45 each.  I sold mine about 2 years ago for $30-35, they have become rarer now.

I'll bet you $100 that you'll immediately regret selling this. Especially over hunting club dues? Come on, man. There will never be another Norinco in the country. You can sign up for all the stupid hunting clubs you want whenever you want.

I'd keep the rifle, screw the hunting club.

.223 ammo was too expensive to feed an AK and the 8 ARs I had at the time.  I sold mine and 6 ARs and went
5.45x39 for AK

what's a hunting club?  Is that one of those fenced in deer hunting clubs where they pen raise the deer and shoot them under barrels that spin out grain?

I'd appreciate a heads up via PM if/when you decide to sell the mags.

No.  It is a leased area of land.  No fences, no pens (unless you count the hog traps.)  This ain't Texas. :)  Sadly, if you want to hunt around here, you got to get in a lease as all the timber company land is leased up and the WMAs are dangerous.

There are a few of those style "hunting" clubs up here also.  Luckily for me two thirds of the state is state and federal forest and I can drive one mile in any direction and walk into the woods and hunt.
