I've had mine for about a year and a half.  The stock is still as tight now as it was when I got it.  But please note that I only range/target shoot with it, I don't do any carbine classes or anything.  I store it in the folded position in a safe when not in use, dont know if that makes any difference either.

Keep in mind that, due to the design, they'll all get somewhat loose over time.  It'll just depend upon how much use/abuse it endures.  But they can be tightened back up.

Pull #4 Pin from #7 Nut, Tighten nut reinstall pin.
I did it myself but you may need help.
You have to push like your unfolding to get to it on the opposite side.

Im not sure how these folders are loosing up?   As far as up and down motion I would think that would be created by the fit of the locking teeth on the stock as they fit into the holes in the reciever?
As far as horizontal motion then ya turning the outer nut (#7) would tighten it up against the reciever but remember it should be loose some to allow the folder arm to freely move yet holding it in place.  But Im not sure how a folder would loosen up horizontally to begin with?

Underfolders I've owned but sold. I prefer a fixed stock over the underfolder.

Don't have pics of my Polish underfolder, but I do have them for my M70AB2 and M64:

My Bulgarian SAS-M7 A1.  I sold it eventually.  Was beautiful, but underfolders are not enjoyable to shoot.

Here is a photo of my build, a Romanian M63 AKM underfolder. I decided to leave her in her original finish. Has that "been there, seen that, and let me retire to the range look".

I was never interested in an underfolder, until recently sparked by this post.  I have never held one or looked at one, before, so bear with me, please.

I noticed that on some of the pics when the stock is extended it is straight and on some it appears to be angled down.  Any reason for this?  Is there an option to the angle?

I own page 2!

Not so much.  Currently produced guns in Bulgaria has the straight back underfolders.

The Polish stamped guns are straight back, dunno about the old milled guns.

Chinese are angled..

Russian AKS-47s are angled down, while their AKMS is straight back.

I think it is more related to when the gun was made vs where it was made.  But it varies country to country.

oh, ok so better check it out.  I like the looks of the straight ones, better.  Anybody have both and have a preference?

I see one of these in my future.

I've fired an old Russian one with the angled stock.  It was only with blanks though.  But, I found the stock went right in the pocket of my shoulder, and the angle that it had brought the sights right up to eye level very comfortably.

Never fired the straight kind, only played with the stocks in parts kits.  They didn't really seem as comfortable to me, felt like I really had to hunch down if I wanted to get a good sight picture while having the stock seated well in my shoulder.
