I bought one used for about 30 bucks. How are these for durability? I'm not interested in looks, I need something that will mount a VFG and Surefire Light and be durable. The midwest industries one looks appealing but it's out of the question as far as money goes right now.

Thanks in advance,

Silky

If it's the tri rail lower, yes they are rock solid.

If you are referring to the LHV-47, it's a tough and well designed handguard.  Love mine.

It's a good piece of kit. I have mine paired with an Ulitmak rail like Finslayer83's rifle.

That setup looks pretty good. I bet it weighs a lot less than Ultimak's lower. I may have to look into that for my tactical tantal.

I used the LHV47 for a long time on my 105 before I went Ultimak + MRD and got a lot of good miles out of it.

Right on. It'll save me money then. not looking to mount optic. A VFG and surefire should do the trick!

Ok, so where is the best place to get just the lower handguard at?
