I went to pick up cases after shooting my new Yugo. How far and in what direction do case eject? I can't find any of them. I figured they're in the woods 10 yrds to my right

My Yugo and Romanian miltary AKs both eject them in a high arch to the right about 6' away consistently.

6 feet?

Better check the ejection as that's pretty weak.

Both mine throw the used brass about 30' in the 2 o'clock position.

My HK 93 threw those bastards about 20 feet away.

30' really???

all of my AKs (5 Arsenals and 2 WASR 10) throw the cases ~12-14' away consistently @ 2 o'clock position

my PSL throws cases ~12-15' away @ 3-4 o'clock position

I've got a pistol, .40 cal baby eagle that used to throw brass 30 feet. Now I dropped in a 24 pound recoil spring and it's down to about 20 feet.

30' sounds about right. That explanes why I can't find any of the cases.

My AK's throw the spent casings about 20ft around the 2-3 o'clock area. You don't want to be shooting to the right of me, unless you like spent casings hitting all around and on you.

Me and a buddy would shoot outdoors and we couldn't find half of our rounds. It doesn't help that the cases are earth toned.

They are thrown in front of the gun, rather than to the side/rear like an AR.

Makes range cleanup much easier.

I get 20' to 25' at 2 o'clock. At first I was a little suprized how far it tossed the case.

I've witnessed my Saiga stick the mouth edge of cases in the plywood beams under the roof of our firing line, and it's 12 feet up.

We left one there with a big arrow sign pointing to it and a "THIS IS WHY YOU WEAR EYEPRO" reminder.

One of my Arsenals(106) sends them into the stratosphere!

My saiga throws them about 15-20 feet to the 2-3 o clock postion my PSL launches them a good 25-30 feet though lol last time I was shooting I was a good 20 feet from my truck and I heard them pinging into the hood was pretty funny.  Start your search at the 3 o'clock position from your firing spot start at about 10 feet away and start to fan out is my advice.
