Sorry if this has been addressed before, I tried a search with no luck.....
Is it possible/legal to convert a sidefolder to an underfolder? I know underfolder receivers are different, but I was thinking it wouldnt be too hard to attach a block at the rear of my receiver and put an underfolder stock on it. Ideas? Links? |

If by convert you mean replace the receiver and rear trunnion it's possible.
I'd say it's not worth it. Sell what you have and buy the rifle you want correctly assembled. Have you shot an underfolder? They do look cool but (in my opnion) cheek weld sucks and they have the tendency to go wobbly. If I had to choose I'd go with a fixed stock over an underfolder any day. BSW |

It's not something the average guy can do. It would required cutting and welding of your receiver, and would likely cost a lot of money. As someone above said, the underfolders look cool, but I'd reather have a fixed stock any day. With a side folder you get the best of both worlds. |
