I am fairly new to AK’s I have had my SGL20 for a few months and have put over 500 flawless rounds through the gun. I was cleaning it up this afternoon and noticed some markings on the face on the chamber. Since I have nothing to compare it to I was wondering if this is normal?

Is that a "feedramp" Dremeled into the chamber? all my eastern-bloc barrels have that. Hmmm... My brother's 5.45 Saiga, in front of me, does not have any feed ramp in the chamber. Is it a factory saiga? If so, then it won't have a feed ramp, and can't take normal non saiga high cap mags. The bullet guide is a key part in saiga conversions. |

I think he is referring to the machined angle on the chamber and not the bullet guide. Arsenal started doing this to their rifles probably to aid in the feeding of commercial ammo like HP's. Don't hold me to this though. I know they def. did it to the 106's. |
