I got an Arsenal SGL21 while the sale was still on and got it recently.  I did some dry-firing of it and I noticed that it has a two stage trigger, with a somewhat long but smooth first stage and then a crisp break, kind of like a Glock trigger but a little longer and lighter break.

But... after cycling it by hand and then letting the trigger reset slowly, it doesn't seem to reset back to the end of the first stage from the second stage.  Instead it seems to go back all the way to the beginning of the first stage with a pronounced spring-back.

Is that long trigger reset normal for the Arsenal FCG?  I think I'd prefer a shorter reset.

If the reset is too short (disconnector doesn't hold on long enough until the sear catches the hammer) then you risk double-firing.

I wouldn't worry about the long reset.

I have a SGL-21 and I like the trigger very much.  I like it better than my stock AR15 trigger.  I have no issues with rapid firing so if it's a long trigger pull then it's ok with me.  I will probably try a G2 trigger soon but thus far, I like the Arsenal trigger.

That is  because it is not a real two stage trigger. The FCG uses "bumps" on the FCG to simulate the feel of a two stage trigger. If you want a real two stage trigger you need to get a Power Custom Red Star tirgger group.
