Well, I posted this in GD, but would like to get some feedback here too.

I have a quad for sale on CL that's worth around a grand.

I just had a guy contact me wanting to trade a NIB Vector underfolder with 3 mags and a case straight across for the quad.

He sent me a link to Vector's website listing it for $895 on a waiting list. Are they cheaper somewhere else and are they kind of hard to get right now?

Thanks guys,

Yes, Vector rifles are good, and yes, their rifles are harder to get than several others.  But I'm not certain I'd say their rifles are any better than several other companies whose rifles can currently be bought for less.

That $895 price seems to be old, and doesn't seem to take current AK market conditions into account.  In my eyes, if you're paying $895 for an AK these days, there had better be something special or collectable about it.  While Vectors are nice rifles, I wouldn't say there's anything unusually collectable or special about them.

Part of this also depends on the value of your quad.  Is it really worth $1,000, or less?  If the quad is really worth $750 but you're hoping to get $1,000 out of it, that would certainly change the equation.  Likewise, if the quad is really worth more than $1,000, then the rifle would definitely not be a good trade.

without seeing the quad ––not that it would help really since I know nothing about them –– the vector the guy is offering seems abit high. As the gentleman above posted depends on what your quad is really worth  ––maybe better too take the grand cash and buy a good ak and have 400 left over.
