I've owned a SKS for a while and after shooting my AR for over a year now, I dont like the SKS assembly and decided to upgrade to an AK. I hear mix reviews on AK's, but I saw a Romanian WASRO AK47 for $380 at the local gun shop. Is that a good price? I was thinking of trading in my old Mauser 1895 and 585Rds of 8mm and cash if I have too. Or should I wait for the next gun show for something better? And what would be better for a good price? Thanks =)

You'll need to know a little more about it. The WASR is a very broad name with the most common being the typical WASR 10. No matter what it is though, It seems like a decent deal as I haven't seen any AK at all under 400 dollars for a while except from places online.

.

What configuration is the AK?    Here is a picture with most (but by no means all) of the configurations of WASR-10 series rifles offered by Century.

Scale sort of varies...

Which one is it?

Also, make sure that the AK accepts standard 30 round double-stack magazines.  The singel stack rifles are worth less, but can be converted... this is an added expense for the buyer to have it done.  The good thing is that you can have it done correctly by a professional... which is a plus.

$380 plus tax and other fees is high average right now.  AK prices have been falling in the last 2 months.  What the future will bring is unknown

1895 Mauser = Chile originally in 7X57 ? (also used by Mexico, Uruguay, Persia, China, Transvaal and Orange Free State but the Chilean seem to be the most common - -  they also changed calibers on some rilfes at least 3 times to 8mm, 30-06, and 308)  Is it the rifle or the carbine?  Does it have OVS markings?

Its like the 3rd to last one on the list you posted, the mauser is a 7mm (all that I know about it), I found it in the back of my closet the other day and I must have gotton it a few years back and forgot about it, but idk what mrkings it has cause all I can find are made in Berln and is a Chileno Model 1895. The only bad about the gun is the bolt isnt same serial # but the rest is in great shape. It has a sheild marking on the top of the rifle.

No muzzle device. Probably no bayonet lug. Offer them less since you can buy a WASR with both features and two magazines for about what they're asking.
