| I seriously doubt it's a "fake Polytech". You should know one way or the other by reading the side of it. It appears to be a pre-ban with Chicom spike-folder on the bottom. These things are worth money. Thats's a semi-auto version of the Chinese Type 56S. You damn near can't find a more complete AK in the world and their AK's are some of the better ones on the market. People sell the rifle alone for up to $1500 all the time. $850 is a steal considering a thousand rounds is coming with it. If I had the money I'd damn sure jump on it. |

Quoted: It says: KFS Atlanta, GA Made in China Stamped on the left side of the receiver just above the pistol grip. I've actually met the owner of "KFS" (also owns other things), nice guy. He has an impressive firearms stash but no longer sells guns (just parts, bipods etc.) |
| You have a semi-auto version of the chinese Type 56 AK. Only difference between yours and the military version is the F/A parts. You got a GREAT f@#king deal at $850, as others have said those are going for around $1500 for JUST THE RIFLE !! Definately a keeper as it will only go up in value. |

It's my understanding that anything Chinese would be pre ban ... The US Assault rifle ban in '93 came after the Chinese import ban in '89. Someone correct me if I'm wrong While the dates are what they are, the "anything Chinese would be pre ban" part isn't. The MAK-90's are (unfairly) considered post ban - they were "pre-ban" rifles caught in either US Customs or in-transit during importation and neutered. |
