I would like to run EBR sub sonic ammo in my suppressed 7.62 Norinco AKM, but I have a question.

From EBR's web site:

"7.62 x 39 Jackhammer Subsonic

This round is designed to feed and function M16/M4 weapons in this caliber in both semi- and full auto.
It utilizes a 220-gr. projectile.

Also works in Kalashnikov weapons with slight ramping. Cycles both weapons with or without a suppressor..."

Question:

How does one go about getting their AK slightly ramped?
Thanks

I dunno, maybe you should email them and ask what exactly it is they mean. The only thing I can think of is to dremel a bit at the barrel, there's a technical term for this...ramping maybe?

That's what I'd do. They could be referring to a modification to the bullet guide or the chamber or something else.

either a full blown bullet guide or a larger chamfer around the chamber opening. My guess would be the chamfer for the round noses to feed.

Don't Dremel your chamber.

If you want to shoot them, buy some, see if they feed, if they don't, THEN look into modifying the rifle.
