You're going to have to push the barrel out to install the trunnion anyway, when you do that drilling the weld out of the holes will be easy.
ETA: Wait...is the trunnion welded to the barrel or is that weld that remains from the trunnion being welded to the receiver? |
| That's seriously bad ass. It looks like you've got yourself a gem there. Just the trunnion alone would be worth something for somebody looking to build a period-piece. It could always be re-barrelled and the runnion reused. When you have the rifle project finished you just have the trunnion done along with all the rest of the pieces. |
