I'm more of a purist and think it ought to have Romanian furniture to go with its buttstock, but with what you're wanting to do I think the red-orange of the bakelite would really make the grey finish stand out even more.

The bakelite handguards with the down word hand grip looks funky to me.

Very nice. The best part of buying an AK to me is making it the way it was suppose to be, with country specific furniture etc for it. Very nice!

just sold my rifle with that exact setup. wishing i would have kept it.
