| I've had an AR-15 for a year or so - figured an AK would be fun, too, so I bought a Hungarian FEG AMD-65 - I haven't fired it yet, but I noticed when I was working the action that when I pull back and release the bolt, sometimes it sticks in the rear position - it takes a nudge for it to move forward again. There's no magazine in the gun, and the safety lever is up - normal behavior?? Thanks in advance for the guidance. |

| There have been fifty threads on this over the years - the most FAQ concerning the AK platform. Just don't ever trust the bolt to stay back because it's just friction, not a real hold-open. Besides, you never ride the slide home anyway unless closing on an empty chamber, so it's a non-problem. |

This REALLY needs to be tacked in big, bold, bright red letters. That flash. It's easily the most asked question on this forum. |
