I'm looking for input on the UTG quad rail handguard.....pros and cons. I know that UTG is kind of a lower end manufacturer and didn't know if their rail is any good. Does anyone have an opinion??? |

I have a UTG quad rail, and honestly its sweet, very sturdy and not wiggly. also it has the numbers on the rail, all in all its an excellent product for the price
if you ever get one...I used 2 spacers for the sturdiness, may even be able to get away with three Good Luck on your purchase!!!! ~joshua |

Ok - I will play the "Cons" role
Rails for my AR? - Fine ..my LMT sports a Surefire quad Alot of people here visualize the AK as the "anti "Tacti-cool" weapon - that the AR15 has become. it seems every week someone has some new must have gadget or device that every AR owner has to have. Whats worse than an AK with gobs of cheap, tacti-cool crap hanging off of it? (An SkS dressed up the same way - )
An overdressed Ak is like a 1988 Caprice with $6000 worth of rims on it - I roll my eyes so hard they almost get stuck...... |

theres nothing wrong with dressing up an ak the way you like it...its just poeple get these ideas in there head that the ak must be wood and a peice of shit that only bastards from the middle east use..
i say fuck em, ill make my ak any way i want it, because it will never let me down..it shoots..it kills, and it gets the job done! |
| I have a UTG rail on a chicom that I saved from the battlefield P/U look. The rail works great and is rock solid, Just get some quality one piece rail covers for it to avoid the heat, makes a really great mount for an Aimpoint Comp M2 without having to have a side rail mounted to your rifle. If you change your mind later and want to go back to wood then just unbolt it. |
