I think they would be 14x1LH (left hand) threads if it is a 7.62x39 MAK-90.  Does the rifle have any US parts in it and is it thumbhole stocked or pistol grip configuration?  If it has been changed out to pistol grip configuration it needs to have US 922(r) compliance parts installed.  If it already has been changed out to pistol grip with US parts installed you just have to maintain the correct US parts count to remain legal and you could easily put a US slant brake (or other type) on the rifle and remain legal.

If the rifle is still in thumbhole stock configuration I believe you can still use a brake if you have no US parts in the rifle but you may have to permanently affix it with silver solder.

A actual flash hider though may require the correct number of US parts.   This is just my belief without going to read the exact requirement.
