My kids loved the golden AK... I thought it was craptaculus for for about 20 minutes.  Rustoleum gold paint works fine, as long as you aren't too rough with it, shoot it, or clean it with halfway decent solvents.  after you have your fun you can spray it down with brake parts cleaner and put a nice molyresin or alumihide finish on it.

That's actually a pretty interesting rifle. I wonder what kind it actually is.

It has an RPK/Yugo style reciever, and the trunnion appears to be both riveted and spot-welded in. The shorter-than-normal handgaurds and gas system, muzzle device, and as block/FSB thing are unique as well.

Anyone know what kind of rifle this actually is?

Overland plating charges $650 for matte gold plating and $700 for bright gold plating (long gun rates).
