Question for the old farts
What was the name of the guy that one of the former mods brought here who had fought for the Taliban or something? His leg got blown off and he was claiming to work for the feds, he got thrown in prison for something. The name escapes me.

Good grief!  I'm sure there's a great story in that somewhere!

Not to side track but speaking of things that make you go, "Wow!," do my eyes deceive me or is that post count 68491 on your ID!

I don't remember anyone kissing his ass, I know a few Guys who tried to help him settle down and one Family who offered to take care of his Son. A lot more goes on in real life than you see on these forums, believe it or not, there are real people out there.

Aukai is doing relatively well.  He was involved in a work-related fall last year, which  broke both his prosthetic leg and his other leg.  He is slowly recovering from that - out of the wheelchair, and trying to get rid of the polio-crutches.  He stops by occasionally to visit.

If you remember a few years back the Travel Channel had a show "The Worlds Most Dangerous Places" hosted by Robert Young Pelton. This Collins guy was featured in two episodes, the one where Pelton went to Chechnya, this is were Collins lost his leg, and in the episode highlighting the dangers of the American West. That episode ends with Collins showing Pelton his tactics with a AK out in the Arizona desert.

Funny you should mention that shoot.  I was a little disappointed with the results, but I guess  it is hard for one guy  to "show" tactics.  Aukai's concept was showing some of the weapons in tactical application. Robert wanted  lots of shooting and stuff blowing apart.  We actually brought a bunch of other rifles as well - FALs and HKs, but they didn't make the final edit.  The area we did it  in is now a subdivision.
