Some Maadis barrel threads were turned off, some still have threads, some were never threaded, some were turned off but were done OFF Center 
If you have an unturned unit an AK (14-1) die and guide will work great. If the threads were turned off center youll have to remove the front sight, cut the bad turned down portion off, recrown, rethread, reinstall the front sight, then permenantly attach some kind of muzzle device. The reason youll have to permanently attach one is because your barrel will be too short (less than 16") If the threads were turned on center you can thread it to 1/2x28 (AR threads) |

Turned off means they were cut down with a lathe or a file. There once was threads but twere cut down sothe threads are gone. If that is done then a smaller (1/2x28 AR15 thread) thread will have to be used instead of an AK thread (14-1 AK thread) |
