About to buy one, but Is it worth it? Or should I get Slant Muzzle Brake?

I've got one on my Kreb's KTR-03S that I shoot in 3 Gun competitions, it really stopped the muzzle from moving when shooting.  I love mine.

Havent had a chance to use a Jtac for my self, but many say its worth every penny.

I have a FSC47 on my tantal.  Muzzle rise, recoil and muzzle flash are barely noticable now.  Well for sound, wow i believe it sounds louder than before.  Compared to the ak74 muzzle brake that was on the tantal i am able to fire and keep my red dot on target very easily.  Before for the fsc47 i could not keep accurate double taps either.

The FSC47 did not/ does not like corrosive ammo even after moly resining the brake.  I used some corrosiveX on the brake and have not had a problem since.

I'm going to order a jtac for my vector uf as soon as i can.

I have a question then, is this the sort of thing that will really only benefit you if you are  shooting form a standing position, or rapid fire as in while doing a 3-gun match or some such. Or will it help reduce the felt recoil even from a benched slow-fire position?

I suppose my question is, does this just reduce muzzle rise/climb or does it actually reduce felt recoil a noticeable amount?

I plan on getting one after I'm done purchasing other goodies for my AK. Not a priority right now.

I would imagine it helping no matter what the stance.

The best one out there in my opinion.

recoil seems to be more straight back, with little to no muzzle climb.  it does seem to be a bit louder.

Does that mean it feels like there is less recoil or just that it's redirected?

To me it seems there is slightly less recoil, but I've heard others say it's noticably less recoil, maybe it depends on the shooter.  But it does keep the muzzle from climbing during rapid fire.

Less Muzzle Climb..
Faster Target Acquisition..
Less Recoil..
A Lot Louder..
Pisses off guy next to ya..

All Positives in my book..

Sounds like a win to me ;)

In all seriousness I really wish someone would scientifically test these. There's gotta be some sort of rig that can be made with an energy meter of some kind to measure the force applied to the buttstock with various muzzle devices attached. It's one thing for a bunch of people to say 'It feels like lighter recoil." but it's another thing for someone to come at me and say it reduces felt recoil from 300kJ to 200kJ or whatever.

His opinion sold me on the FSC47. He has a nice little write up on the FSC47 w/ pix that kicked ass too.  Honestly, its worth every penny.

I'll do the test if someone will donate so I can build the Testing device..

I need aproxx $3,000.00 to build the sliding gun mount.

Here are a couple pics from the class..
The first day till noon Hurricane Hanna was still whipping and drowning us with water.
Then like an act of god, Skys turned blue and birds were chirping.
But all was not well, with 130% humidity and 90deg heat baking us, it was definitely a hot one..
I was the only person running an AK, but shot better than most guys running AR's and Red dots..
Here's a couple pics.

Dammit CXS you make me feel proud of yah. Nice photos. I wish I could grow a beard like yours. Plus you were original in taking the HDI AK to the course. How did the PWS hold up?

Yeah, sweet pix too  Would like to know how the PWS held up too!!!!

It did exactly what it was supposed to do.
Recoil and muzzle climb were a non-issue with it.
Which in turn transferred to quicker shots where the "good shit" is.

I was coming up from prone to run up to cover, when an instructor accidentally tripped me and my muzzle ate the shit out of the dirt/rocks.
I immediately noticed this and just smacked the "debris" out while running.
With a standard slant break or Birdcage I would have probably had problems clearing the muzzle.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who complains about the recoil or muzzle rise..

I'll post more pics as I get them uploaded.
