The "Guides" on this site covers that. In addition, the second sticky thread in the Romanian Forum will take you to a site that has disassembly/assembly instructions.

It's a lot easier to use a flat blade screwdriver to push the Shepard's Hook (wire retainer) down just forward of the trigger pin until it clears the groove and then withdraw the trigger pin. You can then rotate the Shepard's Hook up and out of the groove on the hammer pin and remove the pin. It takes about 45 seconds to do it and will save you a lot of grief.
Assemble in reverse order, as the saying goes.

As an aside, wear safety goggles when dealing with springs.

Do it in a soundproof room if you plan to reuse the shepherd's hook, or if it's your first time.

Fuck the shepard's crook.
Buy a retaining plate or e clips. That damn piece of wire is satan incarnate.

+1 instead of shepard's hook it should be called satan's pitchfork.

It only took me three or four hours to get it right my first time. I did not bleed too much either.  Be a man, use the shepherds hook, not a clip.

My Yugo UF fell apart this last weekend and I have learned on another thread that it is probable because the shepards hook broke and allowed the hammer and trigger retaining pins to back out.  What is the easiest and/or most permanent way to fix this problem –– shepards hook, retaining plate, e-clip?  Are there any other options?

Retaining plate is the absolute simplest way to hold everything together. E clips would be a PITA I think. I've never had much issue with the stock retaining spring.

E-clips are easy and cheap.  Most hardware stores carry them.

Hi Guys,

I have been sitting here looking at diagrams and working on the Yugo.  I'm still looking for an exploded view of the stock spring/hinge so I can fix that.   Where can I get a retaining plate, or even a shepards hook?  I really don't want this to happen to me again.  I took a lot of crap from my pheasant hunting buddies after bragging about my new AK47 and then having this happen while one of them was shooting the gun during the annual hunting reunion.

For some reason I had one heck of a time getting the trigger and springs out
Assembly went a little faster with minimal loss of blood and pinched hand
Afer putting the hole thing together I took the rifle to the range and noticed the
trigger pin and hammer pin started backing out I happen to have some of
my screw drivers and manipulated the shepards crook to lock into the slot portion
of the retainer pins and everything is good to go
Took about 3 hours plus 10 mins at the range
I put the whole thing back together using the G2 Tapco FCG and now the
trigger pull is excellent,no trigger slap and this little rifle shoots amazing well !!
Thanks for all the pics and advice

Plate

Most of the popular AK sites (e.g., Copes Dist.) should sell them too.

Don't know if it's still there (assume so), but at the Tapco site there was a downloadable set of isntallation instructions.  Don't recall it had anything about  removal though.

It's not the same one I remembered, but:
