What do you guys think of these things? I have always liked them for some reason. I have a mak90. I haven't shot it forever but in light of recent events I want another AK. I have 2 AR's now I need 2 AK's

Considering how evil and cool it looks with the muzzle brake and handguard furniture installed, I'm having 2nd thoughts and want to keep it! You want the steel and wood standard look? WASR every day of the week and twice on Sundays. Compact, wire stock, and alternative/evil look? AMD-65 is NIIIIIICE!!!!

I have 5 AKs. One is an AMD-65. I like it okay. I'd like it more if it didn't have the wire folding stock. I find it uncomfortable to shoot b/c you can't get a proper cheek weld on the wire, and I'm 6'4" so it's kind of short for me.. That's the my main beef with it.
I don't mind it so much but you must know that the AMD muzzle break makes it really loud, hearing protection is a big must and you can actually feel the concussion from the muzzle when firing it. It's like standing beside the muzzle of an AK when your buddy is shooting. If you don't mind that, it's a cool little rifle. If you decide to get one, I'd try to find one with an orginal chrome lined barrel, not the Centruy build with the american made non-chrome barrel. |
| yeah I bought one of the TGI builds with the original barrel and I love it. Its loud as hell and is a flame thrower with wolf hp and fmj. Its accurate enough to blast cans out to 35yrds! I am a purist when it comes to AK's and this AMD is the closest thing to the original without being a SBR! |
