Well I can't get a picture of this AK I'm looking at buying..but let me get you some quick info and let me know if anyone has an opinion on this...I'm new to these guns so I really don't know squat...I'm told it's a Chinese AK...called a NHM-90...asked the seller what year it was and he told me that's it was stamped IMD-90 and that meant it was built in 1990...the gun itself looks pretty good...had a thumb hole stlye stock...wood handle, stock and grips...I've seen pictures and looks pretty clean. He's asking $700.00 for it...my intial thought was that is too high...any opinions?

I can send pics if anyone wouldn't mind helping.

Sounds to me with the thumb-hole stock, and the 90 thrown in there, that it would be a MAK-90 then. I wouldnt think the gun would be worth nearly that.. maybe a little over half that. See what others have to say as Im no expert by any means.

He did mention that it "looked" like a MAK-90...kinda what I was afraid of.

you may want to wait for one of the other guy's who's more up to date on AKs...

but imo, thats kinda steep for any kind of AK, esp a chicom-baned AK/neutered one

i'll remeness and say i remember when the MAK90s/chicom AKs were going ~$200-$400 max a few yrs back even; they ARE great AKs and are tough and well made---some of the best out there in the market imo

but $700 is kinda steep imo, i would pass...but thats just me, and its relative: that was then, this is now, and chicom AKs are no longer imported in the US and are relatively scarce, so for some, $700 might be a fair market price for em

YMMV
