I just picked up a new in the box, never been fired (nor ever will be on my part), SLR-100H built by Vector Arms over the weekend at a local gun show. My question is does any one know how many makers have assembled these guns? I already have heard of 6: Classic Arms, Blue Ridge, Ohio Ordinance, MSC, Gordon Technologies and now Vector Arms. And which maker's is the most sought after or highest of quality?
I guess I'm really just looking for some more history on the rifle so any info anyone can provide would be really appreciated (all I know about it is what I have already read in the February 2000 statements given by Mr. Jimmy Streetman of the Arsenal USA company regarding the SSR-99/K-101 Project).
Oh yeah it was $895. Good deal? Its only gonna be used a s a safe queen and show piece that I plan to one day pass down to my  future children

(I'm having a hell of a time taking clear up close pics of the receiver and its markings, any tricks or is my camera just a POS?)

I had a Gordon Tech SLR-100H and sold it a few years ago for $700. It was used when I got it. I keep up with the current owner. He reports it being the best, most accurate AK he's ever seen/shot. It was pretty good for me too, but I'm not that great of a shot.
