Hey fellas

My Henderson is en route, I went with a fixed stock 74 because I already have a side folder. Thought I would change it up a bit. Last week I bought another Arsenal SLR 107FR and an upper for my RRA lower. I was thinking of getting something high dollar like an XCR but don't know yet. I have 8 AKs now and just want something new. I know most of you advise getting mags and ammo, and I agree. I just want to get the weapons out of the way before our future is decided in Washington. I can still get the mags and ammo mailed home while I am away. What do you think?

That is not a bad idea. Take care of your self out there. I lost a good friend out there and my best friend came back with a hearing aid (he always was a lucky idiot). He just looked over my shoulder and said "We got the bastard though".

I've had two Vector RPD's, and while they are nice, I say get yourself a Krink. An ARSENAL 107UR, or an RPK.

If you can swing it, a SA PKM would be bad ass... (Yeah, they ARE expensive)

Do you have any milled AK's yet? If not then you seriously need to give one a whirl!

If we were talking investment purposes I would say mags and ammo, just take a look at the price of Chinese drums now. For a shooter might I suggest a PKM? There very impressive in person, I'd pick one up myself if I had the cash. Remember to stay hydrated and keep your weapons clean.

I don't think I'm in it for any type of investment. I plan on keeping them all and shooting them all  I thought of a Krink as a possible buy but since I can't have an SBR I have no interest in it other than saving and selling later which as I said is not my thing.

A Saiga-12 would be a nice addition but getting a converted one before you leave might be tough (and the mag's are pricey). Don't overlook handguns, expecially high-cap ones - I think they are as likely to be banned as "assault" rifles. Are you covered in .223 caliber? It sounds like you might be leaning that way with the XCR which would be a fine choice - or maybe a SIG 556 or a Galil. I think the Galil's are going for $700-800 now but they are heavy beasts and then you gotta buy a bunch of mags for it, and they're expensive. Maybe something in 7.62x54 like one of those Romanian PSL's would be in order. Cheap but corrosive ammo is still available. Sorry if I'm all over the place!

Edit: How about 5 WASR's!
