[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Wood Screw Question.

Hey guy and girls,

I need a little help. I lost the wood screw from My WASR-10. I see that K-VAR has one I can order, but I have to get something else and shipping is a bit too much just for a screw. So before I order a screw and a Broken Shell Extractors for $31.00.

Is there any thing special about the screw? Can I just go to Home Depot and get one? And if I can just go to the hard ware store, does any one have the spec for the screw?

I took my stock to Home Depot, went into the fasteners section and tried any black screw I thought would fit until I found one.

There is nothing special about the original screw. Just make sure whatever one you buy fits snuggly and flush.

If you only find one a wee bit small, drop a flat toothpick into the hole then set the screw.
