[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 7.62x39 broken shell extractor

Has anyone ever used one? I had one in my kit and forgot I even had it, is it basically just putting the narrow end into the broken shell, closeing the bolt, and using the fat end as the ass end of the broken shell for extraction?

anyone have any good links on how they are properly used or a youtube link thanks fellas

You insert the shell extractor in the chamber and close the bolt. It wont close all the way. Pull the bolt to the rear, and it should remove the broken casing. Sometimes you have to screw with them a bit to get them to really grab the casing.

thank you brother...I kind of figured but have never used one before.....just figured it would be a good piece to add to the kit
