Mine sheared off the other day...due to excessive force.  I ordered another from K-VAR, got it and installed it.  Only problem is, it's very loose...even in the "engaged" position.  Any suggestions?

Have you spread the end out as far as it will go?
A steel ball of the right size pressed against the end with a vise or press should spread it nicely.
Or, lay the rifle on the floor, lay the ball bearing on the end of the lever, and whack it with a ball peen hammer.

Let us know what you find out.

My problem is opposite.
I bought a Polish UF a while back. My handguard take down lever is so tie that I can not move it with my finger. I have to use flat screw driver to move it. Any suggestion to loss my lever a little bit.

Thanks,
Cal

Yep, got it fixed.  I used an appropriately sized punch (and hammer) to get the free end extended outwardly enough that it will not come out from left to right!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here but they are supposed to be tight or at least pretty snug to the point of haveing to use a screwdriver or needlenose pliers to move 'em and I beleive that there is a part of the cleaning kit to unlatch it with.Mad Max son of Madtechcool
