The first way is a fast, but really stupid way to reload, and the guy who is saying it's better than the "new way" is either a pogue or just stupid. Supporting the whole weight of the rifle by pulling the charging handle in order to keep the buttstock shouldered may fly on liveleak videos but try to do it on the move and you'll drop your rifle and look like an idiot.

Yep.... The "old way" Is the quickest anbd best way to reload I think

I want to see the guy do it under fire with wet hands... Nice trick, usefulness... minimal if at all. Look at how far up he holds the magazine, looks like a knuckle buster to me.

He's got that part down.

Now he just needs to:

a) Show up...
b) Actually use the sights...
c) Not run away.

I think they are just messing around. I would be willing to bet money that when he is under fire, he uses the "old way".

I think it is alot more vital to get a fresh mag properly locked in place then to worry about how fast your can jack a round into the chamber - because if you dont get that mag locked in properly - who cares how fast you can get that bolt going.

This technique sucks period - try it while running -
5 fingers on the grip beats 1 or 2 fingers holding the bolt handle with the weight of the weapon against your shoulder...

This should be labeled REMF reloading

Yes I agree the old way is better because you have more support in holding the weapon if your on the move, ect.  There is nothing wrong with knowing a second way but if you only train one way then dont try the new stuff under stress conditions.
