I'm in the market to pick up an AK-47, the requirements for the selected specimen are: 7.62x39mm caliber, wood furniture, double stack magazine well, and separated pistol grip and buttstock. I'm considering a Romanian made model due to the affordability, ideally the SAR1 based on reviews about it having the highest quality of the Romans. If I can't find one and instead decide to go with a WASR-10, I need to know what to look for in determining if it's worth the buy or not. Besides the canted sights and gas block, what exactly can I look for on a WASR to determine it's level of quality and if it's worth buying or passing up? And how in depth can you get when you're examining it before you buy it? |
