I got a 74 style break for my wasr 10 and the bullets were hitting the top inside of the break so i put an oring between the break and sight block to tighten.  it worked flawless for a while.  last time we shot however(i must have overtightened after cleaning) the bullets hit the inside bottom and sides but we didnt notice until it was too late.  There is a nice dent/chunk taken out the the inside flat part(got to look from the inside to see it).  will this affect accuracy alot or could there be anymore problems?  Im sure it will be fine but just want to make sure.  Ill post pics if you need them.
Thanx

This is not good and needs to be addresses some how.
If the bullets were hitting the brake, they will likely continue to do so.

Options are to properly install a new brake, or drill out the existing brake until the bullets cannot contact it.

Usually, if a brake is so loose it tilts and bullets hit it, something is wrong with the threads on the barrel.

ill post pics this weakend - like i said it worked for a while (even a few removals via cleaning ) i think it was just overtightened.  however i notice that the barrel might be too thin because the break wobbles quite a bit until i snug it up with the o-ring - f*ckin wasrs... lol.  I dont think the break is the problem - the sight base is too far back - it its tightened all the way its 1/2 turn short of the retaining pin clicking in so when its on as far as it goes and still clicks in there is a gap - thats the purpose of the o-ring - to tighten the gap.

Yeah, sounds like the FSB is on wrong or the barrel is threaded incorrectly.

Most likely an issue with the brake timing vs. the barrel threading.  The brake needs to be re-timed.  My 'smitty is doing this for me on my Romy 'G' build (with a Tapco AK-74-type brake).
