No, it says that you may have no more than 10 of the LISTED foreign parts that the ATF thinks an AK contains. The full list of parts is listed in 27 C.F.R. Section 478.39. A milled receiver AK w/o a muzzle device only has 14 parts so it only requires 4 US parts. A stamped receiver AK w/o a muzzle device has 15 parts, so it requires 5 US parts. If a muzzle device is present, you would need 5 parts for a milled and 6 for a stamped receiver. The important thing to remember is that you can't replace any part with a US made part; you must replace a LISTED part. For example, a gas tube isn't on the list, so you can't use an UltiMak towards your US parts count. |
