Vector Arms AK47 CLassic Rifle w/ Black Furniture Set Lancaster Consulting AK 47 w/ Black Poly Furniture The price on either rifle is not an issue. Which is a better rifle, though? Lancaster has a lifetime factory warranty. I was told the Lancaster has a better finish as well. I have not heard anything bad from Vector Arms, although they only come with a five year factory warranty. What are the pros and cons of each? Which one is the best buy? Thanks. |

Honestly, I think you've got it pretty well covered in your post. I really like the idea of a lifetime warranty and IMO the Lancasters I've seen did have better fit and finish than the stamped receiver vectors. I prefer the Vectors; they are both very nice rifles. Much more detailed input from others imminent. |

well with a Vector they have been around alot longer.....have a great reputation, and use polish, hungarian, or bulgarian parts for the builds(some of the best kits usually running $350 and up) Lancaster is new to the game...has put out some lousy builds(a few members on here have ordered Lancasters and recieved rifles that had the most horrible pitting I have ever seen, Lancaster just parked over it and sent them out like it would never be noticed...VERY bad QC), and has done some shady stuff with posting pics of builds on there website that were not even their rifles( the pics were of a members rifle here)....your also paying $500-$600 for a rifle built from Romanian parts kit(currently running $100-$150 dollars) you make your own decision.....and soon your going to get a bunch of people jump in here telling you there Lancaster rifle is great....that may be so but I would never buy one after the things I have seen from them. Poor quality control, no dignity, and no ethics..... is not a company I want to ever do business with. |
| We sell both and the Internet is full of BS and other opinoins based on one review or a story that a friend told his second cousins sister that was blown out of proportion then repeated 200 times on the internet , we sell a few hundred AK rifles a month and would probably know the real deal , both companys build nice rifles and you would not go wrong with either one, BOTH HAVE BUILT A BAD RIFLE here or there , yes that is right these rifles are built by humans and mistakes can be made , even the almighty Arsneal has cranked out a few re jects latley so get over the pissin and moaning about a problem here or there as long as the problem was taken care of ,there really should be no issue . Vector builds their rifles on various parts not from complete parts kits , Lancasters are based on Romanian & Polish parts kits . Vector has a five year warranty & a good rep in the customer service line, Lancaster has a lifetime and has had a few warranty issues but has not screwed anybody over that we know about , all of our customers either got a warranty repair, replacment rifle or a refund and their return shipping was also covered. We can speak with confidence is stating that both rifles are a great deal and you should be pleased with either one, also if a Vector or Lancaster is bought from us we would be glad to let you take it and shoot the rifle for a week if their is a legitimate problem we will be glad to replace the rifle or refund your money. |

guys at atlantic.....this absolutely has no reflectiong on you guys what so ever, you put out products and you do it well.....you always back your products and are a reputable dealer........but please dont tell me this is hear say, I have seen it first hand with a Lancaster rifle, and have seen at least 4 other posts on these boards....this is NOT hear say, it is FACT 2nd......the whole ripping off pics from a member and using them ... NOT hear say.....FACT I dont know what others have SAID about Lancaster or what HEAR SAY there is floating around.....I only tell you what I KNOW and what I have encountered and what others on this board have encountered......the whole rifle pitting, parking and sending out to buyers like we are ignorant never set well with me......but ripping off pics and posting as there own was enough for me to know they are shady. No ethics again it happened, some people dont think it may be a big deal, I do........what you plan on buying is your business, I for one would go with a company with a proven track record. No hard feelings Atlantic.....I think you guys are tops, and tell anyone looking for a rifle to see you guys first........but there are certain companies I wont deal with......to the OP good luck on your decision |

100% true, and there have been people who bought Vectors with issues too, big difference if front sight is off, or mags stick a little, or top cover wont fit back on, but to take a nasty pitted parts kit and just park over it? no way, seriously like you dont see that?......and arsenal has never ripped off your pics and posted them as their own either have they? tells me alot about a company. to each their own. |
They mean it, too. Problems happen, but these guys will work like over-caffeinated beavers to make it right!

I don't own either but did research about both in the past. My vote goes to Vector. I remember one person put it well. Vector builds are pretty consistent while Lancasters can put out a higher quality build, but sometimes a bad one will slip by as well. I also don't like the fact that Lancaster stole someone's photo and called it there own. |

Survivorman Our comment was not aimed at you just the whole who's better than who thing, the internet is a great place but 1 story often turns into 1000 just by being repeated in threads , sometimes they are valid and others they are just blown way out of proportion. Speaking from a large quantity of experience our firm has had with both companys we are not aware of any customers getting the shaft with a rifle or left high n dry and both firms have sent a few bad apples . |

The Lancasters are built with Romanian AKM parts while lately (for the past 6 months or so) Vectors are being put together with Bulgarian AK-47 type parts. There is a difference between an AKM and an AK-47 (including barrel thickness and much more) and you can get more info about these differences by doing an internet serach. True AK-47's actually used a milled receiver (except for the very 1st ones) so if you are worried about things like "correctness" of the parts, the Vectors would be the oddball using milled AK-47 type parts on a stamped receiver. The Vectors also come parkerized but not are painted, while the Lancasters do come with the paint job (over the park). Buy anything from Atlantic with confidence. |

Buy either and get it through Atlantic! I have a Lancaster UF. Nice rifle, nice job(they did put the sight adjustment slide on backwards). My buddy has a Vector. Also a nice rifle. I bought my first AK (arsenal SAM 7A1) through Atlantic. Top notch guys!!! FYI my next ak, if not a krink, will be a vector classic in wood or a lancaster in red wood. |

i have a three Vectors,.(one is a UZI,. two AK). .and i love all of them. usually i build my own Ak's or have them built,. but if i am going to buy a AK sight unseen that i expect to be 100% good to go i get it from Atlantic,.so far i am 3 for 3 on the Vectors,.so i am going to stick with Vector Lancaster does build some nice rifles though. i would sugest getting your hands on one of each and seeing foryour self which one you like better. |
