What is the difference between the two other than the obvious ? Any advantages to the one or the other ? |

The double hook was the original design, and it was a "belt and suspenders" design in case one hook broke, the other would keep the rifle working. By the time the AK-74 came out, they realized that it was unnecessary and went with one hook. Some people claim the double hook is smoother, most can't tell any difference. How smooth the trigger action is depends on the trigger unit and the rifle, not the number of hooks. Basically, you just install the one you personally like if the receiver is set up for a double hook, and you can easily alter the receiver to accept a double hook trigger. |

You failed to mention WHOSE Double Hook vs Single Hook. It makes a difference :) KVAR and FSE produce a good, realistic Eastern Block Single Hook. G2 does not. The G2 Single Hook is an amputated Double Hook. G2 makes one of, if not the BEST, Double Hooks. Given a choice? I will, 99% of the time, use a G2 DOUBLE Hook in all builds. Even if I have to add a Double hook cut to the receiver. These are smooth, cost effective, and VERY good. |

There is a new double hook out, or will be soon. I have seen a link to it, and cannot find it now. I have read that RPG is the one doing the new one, but that was posted, and I didnt see any other info. Anyone know more about this new one. Supposedly there is no modification to the receiver nessacary. |
