Ok, I have a Krinkov flash suppressor(cone variety) that has two holes in it, at 4 and 7 oclock I'd estimate. Before I cut a slot for the pin to hold it on, where should those holes be? (ie when the suppressor is screwed on, in what position should the holes be facing?)

and these are flashhiders, right? I know it claims to be, but I've been duped before!

Holes???
The genuine "Krinkov" cone-shaped flash suppressor has NO HOLES in it.
Do you have a "replica"?
Are you referring to the "slots" or cuts in the front edge of the cone?

If you have a replica with holes in the main body, holes should be at 12:00 and 3:00.
The idea is, the top hole helps prevent muzzle rise, the side hole helps prevent the muzzle from moving to the right.

If you're referring to the slots in the front edge of the cone, these are to allow using a cleaning rod as a wrench to unscrew the device.  The slots wind up wherever when the brake is screwed on tight, so there is no "correct" location.

The "Krinkov" muzzle attachment serves two purposes:
1. It's to hide the extreme muzzle flash from the SHOOTER.

2. It's an expansion chamber.  The ultra-short Krinkov barrel causes violent operation of the action from the gas port located so far to the rear.
The muzzle attachment is an expansion chamber that reduces the gas pressure to safer levels.
