Several months back I bought my first AK, a Saiga converted by Elite to look like an AK103. I picked up a several hunred rounds of Wolf "Military" ammo and while I wasnt expecting match grade accuracy I was expecting better than the 12 to 15 inch groups I was getting. I tried moving off the bench and some kneeling and sitting positions to see if that affected the rifle but that made no difference. The "groups" werent changing from the barrel getting hot or anything but jeez the groups were gigantic! I would be happy if the rifle were minute of man out to 300 yards but to me 12 to 15 inches at 100 yards is unacceptable. I'm not going to tell you I am a supermatchtacticalninjasniper but as a Marine I can make decent groups out to 500 yards with an AR or my M1A so I know the groups arent all my fault (except maybe the unsupported standing )Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas as to why the rifle is producing such large groups? |

I agree - that'd be the first thing that I would look at - the muzzle device may be the trouble. If the rounds are contacting the end of the brake, then you will get sh*t groupings like that. You should expect 4" groupings at 100 yards. I would expect better with a Saiga conversion. |
