The Mason/Dixon Frozen Nuts 2008 shoot was this weekend here in PA. Weather was perfect and besides from a little mishap it all went good. www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=8&f=14&t=298352 There's lots of pictures and some video as well. Check it out and maybe join us at the spring shoot if you can make it. Date isn't set yet though. SAM-7 SF... www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7vpL0wjiws ETA: Someone accidentally had a .223 loaded into a AK mag and shot it through a yugo RPK. The case expanded to chamber size but it fired. I guess those old rumors about being to shoot our ammo in their guns is true... Took a little work to remove the case though. We thought it was a squib at first.CMS CMS |

Yeah I've heard that one too. I just thought it was funny when it happened...that was the first thing I though. It was a very light pop so we figured it was a squib and went to clear it and check the barrel for obstructions only to find a Wolf .223 round fireformed in the chamber. It even nailed the primer dead center. The velocity was probably pretty darn low since the .22cal bullet had alot of space around its sides and gasses could pass it. I wouldn't suggest doing it even in SHTF unless you want to look like a Revolutionary War soldier with a cleaning rod...
